Weed District Coordinator

Wheatland County is currently seeking applications for a Weed District Coordinator. Part-time, year-round, with seasonal workload variations. $20-24 per hour, depending on experience. Responsible for the county’s Weed Management Program, including administration, public education, and weed prevention/control. Must hold or be able to obtain a certified government dealer license and a pesticide applicator license. Work may be physically demanding and occur in remote or hazardous conditions. Requires a valid Montana Driver’s License and knowledge of plant identification and weed management methods (herbicides, biological, and cultural). The position is open until filled. Road Department

Wheatland County has a full time position open for the road department. Must be ambitious, self-motivated, work well with others and have good public relations. Must have a Class A CDL driver’s license or be able to acquire one in a timely manner. Duties will include: operating heavy equipment, welding and some mechanic work. Position will pay $20-23 per hour depending on experience. Retirement plan, employer paid medical insurance, and dental vision plan offered as well.
