Superintendent of Schools
The County Superintendent is the financial gatekeeper of the school funds as they come in from taxpayers, federal and state agencies.
The office is also the place to register your teaching certificate if you are teaching in the county and register for home school if you are opting for this education style for your children.

The duties of the office are clearly stated in the law book, 20-3-205 MCA, if you are looking for jurisdiction in identifying the need of seeking assistance from your local school or this county office.
Finally, this office provides some scholastic learning tools by having a moderate library, teaching supplies, and hosting the Wheatland County Spelling Bee each year.
